Anna Mayr was born in 1993 in the Ruhr area. She studied literature and geography in Cologne and was then a student at the German School of Journalism in Munich. In 2019, she was a journalist at ZEITmagazin and ZEITMagazin ONLINE. Since 2020, she has been an journalist at ZEIT's capital city office in Berlin.
