Jonathan Koehn is the Director of the Climate Initiatives Department for the City of Boulder, Colorado. The department is responsible for leading the integration of the City’s climate, environmental and resilience efforts into Boulder’s overall sustainability framework. Prior to his current position, Mr. Koehn was the Chief Sustainability & Resilience Officer for the City of Boulder, as well as the City’s Senior Sustainability and Resilience Policy Advisor. Mr. Koehn’s multifaceted career includes substantial experience in the not-for-profit sectors and municipal government. He began his tenure in Boulder as the Environmental Manager for the city in 2006, and has continued to work with federal, state, regional and local governments and their constituencies domestically and internationally to develop strategic and tactical solutions to energy and climate challenges. Mr. Koehn also teaches classes at the University of Colorado’s Masters of the Environment Program in applied sustainability and resilience. Jonathan holds positions on multiple Advisory Boards and Commissions, and holds degrees in Environmental Science, Biology and Marine Sciences.
